Originally developed as harnesses for British aristocrats, bridle leather is highly durable. The oil and wax rubbed into the inside of the leather complements the strength of the fiber structure, and it is also relatively water-resistant among leather products. The color and luster of the leather will deepen as it ages, while retaining its original appearance of toughness, water repellency, and leather.
